Saint Christopher's ChurchSt. Christopher's Church is the community church of Saturna Island. There are regular Anglican services as well as services conducted by ministers of other denominations. We are fortunate to have the Reverand Dawn Wood as a year-round resident and the Reverand Dick Walenta and Reverand David Wylie are both part-time residents. The Reverand Chas Belknap is the Parish priest and ministers on 2th Sundays; 4nd Sundays are interdenominational with rotating leaders. The Reverand David Wylie and also Jeanette Amundson, pastor, provide the 5th Sunday worship. St. Christopher's Church was dedicated in 1963. Saturna Island was part of various parishes until 1970 when it became a separate parish. In 1984 Saturna became part of the Parish of Pender and Saturna Islands in the Anglican Diocese of British Columbia. The late Dora Carney wrote a historical note about St. Christopher's that is entertaining and informative and can be accessed from this link >> Historical Notes.
