Divers will collect available species from the ocean and place them into controlled tanks for close-up observation while interpreters tell us about them. A great beach day! In cooperation with Parks Canada Day.

Meet some of the wonderfully strange marine creatures that live in our neighbourhood. Explore the beautiful world of intertidal animals living in the sub-tidal zone at East Point. Certified divers will collect available species from the ocean and place them into controlled tanks for close-up observation while interpreters will identify and tell us about the lives of these animals. Learn from these passionately dedicated volunteers from around the Salish Sea.

This event is organized in cooperation with Parks Canada Day with many events in the park, including Saturna Parks & Rec free ice cream, Parks Canada events, FAB heritage displays, and information tables by Cetus Research & Conservation Society and Galiano Conservancy. Come join us for an entertaining and informative afternoon.
